When I'm not busy looking at organs or slides or learning the behind-the-scenes intricacies of the various "clinical" laboratories, I like curling up with a good movie or book. My interests straddle a lot of fences. I love the sciences--I studied physics undergraduate and I find myself missing problem sets more than expected--but I feel equally at home with the poets, artists, and philosophers. And if my enthusiasm for the imagery of Lynch and Cronenberg is any indication, I think pathology should do a nice job of tickling both my analytical and poetical sides. But I'm also very excited about this new place and all the new opportunities it has to offer.
