First: good character, stability, kind, gentle, intelligence. Basically good personality traits.

Secondly: observance. We've got to be on the same page religiously, at least in this area. She should either already be largely observant or actively trying to be.

Third: good looks. As much as everyone feels shallow for saying their partner needs to be attractive, we all agree it's important.

Fourth: family situation, friends, job, education, etc. This is not terribly important for me.

I have been through a traumatic marriage and divorce, and I am looking for a wife who is kind and observant. Everything else can come second. Preferably, she should also want to make aliyah someday.
