This part is almost as hard as listing all of Trump's lies. I'm over 50 years old, born in Chicago but I've lived in places around the country and overseas and finally settled back again most recently in the Chicago suburbs. I was in a monogamous relationship for 15 years with a non-Jewish man. I think I have realized after 5 years+ on my own that I'd like to settle down with an emotionally and intellectual honest Jewish man with a great sense humor and imagination and who has a liberal political viewpoint. At this point in my life, I'm not willing to settle. I am just dipping my toe back into the world of dating and dating apps after a 2 years+ self-imposed moratorium on dating followed by a 3-year COVID-imposed moratorium on dating -- a total of more than 5 years of celibacy. At this point, I'm practically a virgin again! Hahaha...UGH My days of hook-ups ended decades ago. So, here I am putting myself out there after being out of the dating scene for 20 years+ give or take. And now it's all very...different. I have a wide variety of interests: the arts & culture, swimming (preferably in a swimming pool -- I like water that's clear), walking, antiquing, reading (especially history, certain memoirs and good old fashioned English murder mysteries such as those by Agatha Christie), politics as a sport (but not actual sports), long walks, beautiful gardens, great museums, curling up with that special someone and binge-watching great movies from Hollywood's Golden Years before CGI turned everything into a cartoon or a spaceship, etc. I'm not tall in height (you can decide about stature 😉) and probably as a result I have what they used to call "gumption." I'm an extremely hard worker. I'm not what they used to call "nelly" nor am I "butch." I'm what they used to refer to as "preppy." I'm cleancut and cleanshaven (on my face). Prefer men with hairy chests (and other areas). 😁 I'm a practicing Jew but don't currently belong to a congregation. I was a member of The Standard Club in downtown Chicago for over 30 years until it's demise after 151 years. 😢 If anything I've written here sounds interesting to you at all, HMU.
